Once a visitor center for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Happy Days Lodge now functions as a special event and program center for the Park Service. The Lodge can also be rented by the public.

The Lodge was built between 1938-39 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of President Roosevelt’s New Deal platform. It first served as a camp for the Akron Board of Education and Recreation Commission summer playground program. In 1978, it became the CVNP’s first visitor center.

Though the building is no longer open on a daily basis, it still serves as a trailhead to several of the Park’s best hiking trails including the Ledges Trail (2.2 mi), Boston Run Trail (3.4 mi), and Haskell Run Trail, a half mile, self-guided hike through the surrounding woods.
